Spike is living in the basement with me. This was no problem during the Summer greenbank surgery and early Fall. But now that Winter has decidly settled in and it is a brisk 57 F in my room his tank is barely holding at 74. I am not sure how low it will drop tonight. Its been darn near 65 the past few mornings but was a bit warmer in the tank before night. I've covered the tank w/ towels that cover it entirely except for where the ceramic heat emmitter is located, which is where he is hanging out lately since he is pretty much sleeping away the days. Looking for suggestions on how to keep it warm enough for him w/out it dropping below 65 over night. Another che? Or perhaps a black light for a bit of extra heat? I'm afraid of putting the space heater near the tank, I don't want to roast him. Mom won't let me move him upstairs.
