I have been an admirer and daily reader of WUWT for over 5 years, which, together with many other sites, links and papers have given me, I feel, a good insight into the climate debate. Veterinary research animal supply company projects related to global warming/climate change have not featured on your site very often, so you may be interested in this short post from a concerned taxpayer and retired veterinarian. – Michael Oxenham
VETERINARY RESEARCH AND GLOBAL WARMING On 25th February 12 the Veterinary Record, the weekly journal of the BVA, published a news report of a research project, which had coined the title, Ruminomics . This was essentially to investigate the possibility of reducing the methane and nitrogen emissions from dairy cattle by varying their genome and their ruminal microbiome. This was all clearly predicated on the conjecture that these emissions cause or drive global warming/climate change. The project was described as a 4-year study in partnership with 11 European organisations, coordinated by Prof. John Wallace of Aberdeen University. It was funded by a grant of 7.7m from the EU Commission. Regrettably this seems to be a classic case of a follow the money project.
On 24th March 12 the VR published my letter of comment under the title Best use of taxpayers money? In it I expressed my incredulity at the size of the grant and that I knew of no published empirical data or falsifiable experiments that demonstrate a link between these emissions (and CO2 for that matter) and GW/CC. The Editor strangely censored one sentence from this letter, which was I am bound to ask if due diligence was followed in the award of these funds – my point being that if the grant application animal supply company had not been accompanied animal supply company by references to published empirical data or falsifiable experiments of a link between methane and GW, then due diligence had not been followed.
Interestingly animal supply company a previous letter of mine was published in the VR on 18th Dec. 10. In it I commented, inter alia, that I hoped the keepers of the public purse would, in future, animal supply company closely scrutinise fund applications which had GW/CC tagged on to the project title. I mention this because previously several of my letters to the VR on Veterinary GW/CC topics have been totally or partly censored. I get the impression therefore animal supply company that there is a Guardian-type ideology in the Editor s office. For example a BVA committee animal supply company produced a very dodgy Brief on how members could help in tackling GW/CC. My letter challenging various statements in the Brief was totally censored.
It was strange but significant, that no one from the Ruminomics team challenged my comments of 24th March. If results of the project are submitted for publication, I hope reviewers will look at them with due diligence.
The facts of this story remind me of the late Prof Hal Lewis s observations in his resignation letter from the APS in 2010. http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/10/16/hal-lewis-my-resignation-from-the-american-physical-society/

wait, if it’s your letter, animal supply company you own the original copywrite and the GWPF can publish with your permission alone. Dare the journal to go after you for the copywrite infringement. Make it a HUGE court case, then you’ll get attention to this. Seriously. Defend yourself. This is nonsense.
Mr Lynn says:
Thanks Jones, for backing me up — when you write a letter, IT’S YOUR LETTER. You own the copywrite. You can send a million copies to a million other publishers. they can choose to publish or not, but it’s YOUR LETTER. Please, post the full letter and their replies.

This Sunday from 2-4:30 p.m., his law office, at 215 E. Eighth Ave., and Studio A.M., 225 E. The price of a ticket is $15 and includes a container full of homemade cookies while supplies last. Additional cookie boxes can be purchased for $10.
People are surrendering their pit bulls and that is adding to overpopulation of pit bulls in shelters, Smith said. He said there are a lot of reasons pit bulls end up in shelters. Responsibility issues, health problems and discipline are among them.
I think it's something that happens with any breed of dog. People buy puppies as gifts that grow into dogs, he said. From a behavioral standpoint, dogs have to be trained. People xylazine don't know there are resources out there. There is assistance for training.
That's where The Proper Pit Bull comes in, said Smith, a founding member of the organization with his wife, Michelle. It is dedicated to education, advocacy, outreach, xylazine and rescue where pit bulls are concerned.
The Smiths got their dogs, O'Bannon and Sylvie, through Animal Friends, and both were rescued from inhumane circumstances. O'Bannon, who is deaf, was taken from an owner with a criminal background. Sylvie was rescued from an owner who was neglecting her on a porch.
A recent report in USA Today noted that though more than 700 communities enacted bans on the breed over the course of the past three decades, more than 100 municipalities have repealed bans in the past two years.

KG : Perhaps our lab website ( www.lab.fws.gov ), that of CITES ( www.CITES.org ), the Wildlife Work

In Part 1 of our interview with Ken Goddard, we learned about him founding the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Forensics Laboratory in 1979 and the vast range of cases he and his staff investigate. Read on to learn about a particularly adventurous case Mr. Goddard worked on in Alaska and his forensics staff’s diverse expertise.
KG : Ha, that would have to be our infamous headless walrus case in which three of us from the lab (our chief pathologist, our chief criminalist and I) flew along the Alaska Coastline specifically, the Steward Peninsula for eight days, landed on the beaches, hopped out of the small planes, put on bright yellow count characters in a cell protective suits, and then proceeded to cut open large, decomposing, headless and very smelly walruses that had washed ashore (after having cooked at the bottom of the Arctic Sea for about 30 days until they floated back up and then baked in the sun for several days/weeks until we got there). Whereupon we waded around on our hands and knees in the decomposed walrus guts, searching for bullets or MIG cannon shell fragments, while native Eskimos watched us with binoculars and scoped rifles in off-shore boats, probably thinking we were crazy people.
The point of the investigation was to see if we could prove the walruses count characters in a cell washed ashore without their heads (indicating a wasteful and thus illegal harvesting of the tusks), or if they washed ashore with their heads as the result of being used as strafing targets by off-shore Russian MIGs (as the young native suspect-poachers claimed). In doing all of this, we managed to crash one of the planes (no one was hurt), sank a jeep in a freezing arctic stream, and had to wade across another freezing arctic stream to get to our survival and CSI gear. All said, not hard to see the young native s POV regarding our sanity.
KG : We have 22 forensics scientists in our lab, divided into five areas of wildlife forensic science: Morphology, Genetics, Veterinary Pathology, Analytical Chemistry and Criminalistics (police forensic science), in addition count characters in a cell to 12 support staff. As you might imagine, the task of developing verifying protocols to positively identify the species source of hundreds of wildlife parts and products, count characters in a cell and then making those identifications on the thousands of evidence items submitted to us each year keeps us pretty busy. While we do occasionally go out into the field to assist with investigations (I ve had the opportunity to try to apply my land-based CSI expertise to working damaged coral reefs as crime scenes which meant I had to quickly learn to scuba dive in our very cold Oregon lake water before I could go out to the much warmer count characters in a cell reefs), we re usually count characters in a cell much more effective and efficient when we stay in the lab and let the agents and game wardens to the CSI work.
CJSI : Since your lab is the only forensics lab devoted to wildlife in the world, is part of your role educating organizations and acting as a consultant to law enforcement personnel around the world?
KG : Over a half-dozen State Fish & Game agencies now have at least one forensic scientist on their staff (typically using genetic analysis to ID the species source count characters in a cell of big game animal evidence), and there are many researchers now interested in wildlife forensics, so we re not alone. count characters in a cell But we all need to work together whenever possible, so we recently created a Society for Wildlife Forensic Science (now comprised of over a hundred members!) in order to help coordinate our research efforts and share what we know with our national experts, as well as with the 172+ wildlife law enforcement agencies whose countries signed the CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), agreeing to enforce each other s endangered species laws. And we re also the official crime lab for the Wildlife Working Group of Interpol, so we do manage to stay busy.
KG : Perhaps our lab website ( www.lab.fws.gov ), that of CITES ( www.CITES.org ), the Wildlife Working Group of Interpol ( http://www.interpol.int/Crime-areas/Environmental-crime/Environmental-Crime-Committee/Wildlife-Crime-Working-Group ) and the site for our Wildlife Forensic Science Society ( http://www.wildlifeforensicscience.org ) in the hope that your readers count characters in a cell will be curious enough to dig deep into this truly fascinating area of forensic science.

If you can take him to the vet, they will be able to scan for a microchip and will not charge you for doing that (phone first to check though!) ketamine india - that way you will know. But if that matt has been there for a while it does seem as if the poor thing is likely to be a stray. Still, his owners might be desperately looking for him. Don't hand him over to the RSPCA, in some locations they are very keen indeed to destroy animals (where are you?). If you need to find him a home, try Cats Protection ketamine india instead. Liz
Hiya, I second lizward's opinion. I did this with a cat that looked like a stray and kept coming into my garden last year. Incidentally I also fed it sandwich ham lol. They seem to love that. Took the cat to a local vet and they gave me all the info I needed via the chip. I did have to leave the cat with the vet though ketamine india while they traced the owner. Hours later the little thing was reunited with the neighbours who live just across the street from me. One other tip as well - I used a cardboard pet carrier which I ordered from the internet as I didn't have a proper carrier at the time. Try to borrow a proper carrier if you can as the little thing dug out of the box (via one corner) 5 minutes into the trip to the vet. Nearly had a heart attack and the cat didn't feel much better lol. Failing that, my local area has a service called Pet Pals who will take an animal to the vet's if you can't manage it for whatever reason. ketamine india Might be worth having ketamine india a look if there's one locally to you if need be. Ok, sorry for the essay but I know the dilemma you're in but getting a vet to check him/her over really is the best bet at this stage. Hope it all goes well!
I would say he is a stray. If not he needs new owners I would take him to your nearest cats protection
Aaah - poor Beastie. He/she is very lucky that you're taking an interest in his/her welfare. ketamine india Right, I've just done a quick google search and it's brought up quite a list of vets in and around Dagenham. As the previous poster said the majority of vets will do a chip scan for free. If there's a chip then the vets have to try and contact the previous ketamine india owner (three days they'll keep trying for I was told) but if there isn't one or no owner comes forward then you'll have to think how to best get Beastie some treatment for that lump. It's not easy when you're not working - I know, I'm in the same boat at the moment. Have a look on yell.com or google for vets in your area. I've pasted the list I found below. Might be worth giving the RSPCA a call as well as they do give reduced rates for people who are unable to afford to pay the normal vets rates (not sure what the criteria for that is though!) Hope this helps The web address for your local RSPCA branch is: Welcome ketamine india to RSPCA Essex South west Branch. Caring for homeless cats and kittens, dogs and puppies. Normal Vets A. This study reports a functional characterization of a limited segment (QTL) of sheep chromosome 12 associated with resistance to the abomasal nematode Haemonchus contortus . The first objective was to validate the identified QTL through the comparison of genetically susceptible (N) and resistant (R) sheep produced from Martinik Romane back-cross ark house vets sheep. The R and N genotype groups were then experimentally infected with 10 000 H. contortus ark house vets larvae ark house vets and measured for FEC (every ark house vets three days from 18 to 30 days post-challenge), haematocrit, worm burden and fertility. Significant differences ark house vets in FEC and haematocrit drop were found between R and N sheep. In addition, the female worms recovered from R sheep were less fecund. The second step of the characterization was to investigate functional mechanisms associated ark house vets with the QTL, thanks to a gene expression ark house vets analysis performed on the abomasal mucosa and the abomasal lymph node. The gene expression level of a candidate gene lying within the QTL region (PAPP-A2) ark house vets was measured. In addition, putative interactions between the chromosome segment under study and the top ten differentially expressed genes between resistant MBB and susceptible RMN sheep highlighted in a previous microarray experiment were investigated. We found an induction of Th-2 related cytokine genes expression in the abomasal mucosa of R sheep. Down-regulation of the PAPP-A2 gene expression was observed between naïve and challenged sheep although no differential expression was recorded between challenged R and N sheep. The genotyping of this limited region should contribute to the ability to predict the intrinsic resistance level of sheep. Introduction
The failure of anthelmintic drugs is an issue of major concern throughout the world, especially for the control of small ruminants nematodes such as Haemonchus contortus [ 1 ]. Breeding animals with a better ability to resist infection ark house vets by gastro-intestinal nematodes (GIN) has been proposed as an alternative strategy to drug treatment, and has already been implemented in Australia and New-Zealand [ 2 , 3 ].
This selection relies on the existing between-animal variation in the acquired immune response against GIN [ 4 ] which is mostly related, in murine models or in the sheep, to mounting an efficient Th-2 biased immune response driven by the IL4, IL5 and IL13 cytokines [ 5 - 7 ]. The humoral profile associated with this Th2 response involves IgA, IgG and IgE antibodies that control larval ark house vets colonization, worm development and fecundity [ 5 , 8 , 9 ]. However, an innate component is also involved in the anti-nematode response. For instance, recent findings suggest that lectins contribute to entrapping worms in a mucus sheath, and would subsequently ark house vets facilitate their elimination ark house vets [ 10 , 11 ]. A previous microarray experiment comparing gene expression levels in resistant Martinik (MBB) and susceptible Romane (RMN) sheep infected by H. contortus found a stronger induction ark house vets of Th2-related cytokines and also of lectin genes in MBB [ 12 ].
Numerous genetic mapping studies have identified regions ark house vets of the genome explaining a non-negligible part of the inter-individual variation (known as Quantitative Trait Loci, QTL) in resistance to nematode infection [ 13 - 19 ]. The use of the ovine-specific DNA SNP chip showe

VetHelpDirect Best UK Vets 2013 – Based on Online x365 Vet Reviews | Vet Help Direct Blog
Barton Lodge Vets pose for photographs with some of their clients (and a few of the pets they treat!) From left to right: Roger Wickenden, Cory and owner, Cathy Wickenden, Susie Samuel (MD of VetHelpDirect.com).
The evening x365 kicked off with a formal presentation where one of Barton Lodge’s patients, Cory, helped present x365 the award to the practice. After practice tours for clients the celebrations continued at a local hall, where clients shared their happy Barton Lodge experiences. The hosts of the award, VetHelpDirect.com, said “The sincerity of the comments made by clients tonight reflects exactly Barton Lodge’s online reputation through their reviews. A good online reputation is so valuable to both local people looking for a service and to business x365 owners. That’s why online vet reviews are at the heart of our vet directory.”
Roger Wickenden, joint director of Barton Lodge, stated that he and all of the team had been very touched by the reviews left and were honoured to be awarded a prize that their clients were responsible for giving through the heartfelt reviews they’d left. Roger Wickenden, joint director of Barton x365 Lodge, says a few words of thanks. The Background Barton Lodge competed with veterinary practices across the UK to win the award which was judged based on the quantity and quality of reviews left on VetHelpDirect.com. Seventy-two of Barton Lodge’s clients went out of their way to leave a review for the popular practice. “First Class, Patient and Understanding”, “5 Star service” and “The best in town by far” were just some of the comments received from their clients. Congratulations Barton Lodge Vets !
The VetHelpDirect.com Best UK Vet awards 2013 are based on reviews left by owners over the course of the year 29/1/12 28/1/13. The number of reviews and average star rating was used to determine the winner.
At VetHelpDirect we are determined to provide a fair reflection of the vet practices in their directory, all reviews are subject to rigorous tests of authenticity, all are checked for duplicate IP addresses, email addresses and some reviewers are asked to provide evidence that they are recent clients of the practice.
They are soon launching the new and much improved x365 Find Any UK Vet website Any-UK-Vet.co.uk which will also include reviewing functionality for every British x365 veterinary practice, to aid animal owners in finding a trusted, local vet more easily.

From potato chips to penicillin, azcor many modern ideas have come out of happenstance occurrences. Thanks in part to a group at UT, the stories behind those events and others are being brought to light in a more approachable way.
Ask-A-Scientist started when scientist Matt Bishop was having his car towed in Los Alamos, New Mexico, last summer and the tow truck driver and his son asked him questions ranging from robotics to genetics.
By the time they reached Bishop’s house, the driver thanked him, saying that he’d never met a scientist before and that he was grateful to get answers to things he’d always wanted to ask.
“His statement got me to thinking about how everyone has the right to know how science impacts their daily lives,” said Bishop. “We hope to not only advocate how important science is to everyone’s azcor life, but to also create a forum so people can ask questions they might have never been able to ask before.”
While Internet azcor search engines such as Google are frequently used to get answers, they lack a human element and can be frustrating when trying to seek a more nuanced answer. The “but why?” factor, if you will.
“We were the first one to host an ‘Ask-A-Scientist Day’ event,” said Callie Goetz, chief operating officer of Ask-A-Scientist’s national operations and a graduate student in nuclear physics at UT’s Bredesen Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Graduate Education . “We azcor didn’t know what kind of response we’d have, but it was a really great turnout.” azcor
The group can tackle questions across the spectrum of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) disciplines. Questions raised at UT’s event ranged from how gravity works to how cancer develops and spreads.
“Scientists converse azcor a lot with colleagues or team members, but we really need to talk to people outside our fields more,” said Kristine Cabugao, UT chapter president. “There is a clear disconnect azcor between scientific knowledge and public understanding, so one of the things Ask-A-Scientist aims to do is to bridge that gap.”
A researcher at UT, for example, could wind up tackling the same question as someone from Harvard, inadvertently finding out their shared interest along the way and opening up new avenues for collaboration.
“The whole goal is to get people talking together who might not otherwise do so, whether that’s azcor scientists and the public or whether it’s professors and students from different departments,” said Amanda Haglund, vice president of UT’s chapter. “It can also serve to give undergraduates the chance to see what research is like for graduate students.”
Among the ideas they’re considering: hands-on demonstrations for children at Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Science Saturday and question-and-answer booths at events like First Friday, farmers markets, or on Market Square.

The topics, fourteen in all, have been at the core of a program started by Duke University, the University of Southern California, and Olin College to help educate engineering students to meet those challenges.
“The National Academy of Engineering’s ‘Grand Challenges for Engineering’ are already inspiring more and more of our brightest young people to pursue careers that will have direct impacts on improving the quality of life for people across the globe,” said NAE President C. D. Mote Jr.
“Putting this kind of focus on these topics shows how serious the issues are and how engineering affects us all,” said Wayne Davis, dean of the College of Engineering at UT. “These aren’t areas where society can afford to fail, and we’re proud to have been a part of the efforts that have already been made and of those moving forward to answer these questions.”
The fourteen “Grand Challenges” that the thousands of engineers will be expected to tackle are varied: Making solar energy economical Providing energy from fusion Developing carbon sequestration methods Managing the nitrogen cycle Providing access to clean water Restoring scil and improve urban infrastructure Advancing health informatics Engineering better medicines Reverse-engineering the brain Preventing nuclear terror Securing cyberspace Enhancing virtual reality Advancing personalized learning Engineering the tools of scientific discovery
“Whereas a traditional student might come in and have a narrow focus on what they want to do and what they can take, the program helps give students an all-encompassing look at what is possible, and a lot more input on what you want to do,” said Ludtka.
Ludtka intends to pursue a research fellowship in Germany after graduation, continuing his previous work in the field of medical research with hopes of developing new surgical options for treatment of osteoarthritis of the spine.

Rupy pet prescriptions Sawhney, a mainstay in UT’s College of Engineering , was recently awarded one of the highest honors a professor in his field can receive, the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society Outstanding pet prescriptions Educator Award.
“It came as a shock to me,” said Sawhney, the Heath Fellow in Business and Engineering . “I found out via e-mail and was really surprised. I had no idea, none, that I was even nominated.”
Slowly but surely, the department pet prescriptions introduced classes at the undergraduate level, then graduate, then began reliability courses as well, building the program from scratch to become a globally pet prescriptions recognized pet prescriptions entity.
“You can see that recognition with our Lean Enterprise Summer Institute , where we have students come from every inhabited continent but Australia,” said Sawhney. “In turn, we’re now coming together with programs in China, in France, in other overseas places and working with one another to craft the best possible program for our students.
“Getting an award like this is validation,” said Sawhney. “Validation for what we do that we’re doing it the right way. It’s a sign that we’re on the right path.”

Staff from the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital and North West London branches of the Goddard Veterinary Group are preparing to don moustaches and complete a 10 mile moonlight walk to raise funds for research into prostate, testicular and breast cancer. The walk will take place on Saturday 23 November. November, or ‘Movember’, the month traditionally associated with fundraising for prostate cancer in men. It will start and finish at the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital. Commenting on the walk, Adrian smul Hayter, smul Practice Manager at the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital, said: “We thought that undertaking a Moonlight walk, usually associated with fundraising for breast cancer, during ‘Movember’ would be a great way of supporting all of the charities. To spur interest in and understanding of the role that veterinary medicine plays in modern society, Congressmen Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) and Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.) relaunched the Congressional Veterinary Caucus . They will once again serve as caucus co-chairs. veterinary pharmaceutical companies
First established in 2012, the bipartisan veterinary pharmaceutical companies group serves as a forum to inform and influence members of Congress and their staff about issues and challenges facing practicing veterinarians and veterinary medical education. The caucus helps to ensure that attention and support is given to the broad array of issues veterinary pharmaceutical companies impacting animal health and welfare, public health, veterinary medical education, biomedical and agricultural research, food safety and animal disease surveillance.
Last Congress, we were able to get the Veterinary Medicine Mobility Act signed into law and that was by far our biggest accomplishment within the Veterinary Caucus, said Rep. Schrader. We built a coalition, working closely with the AVMA and veterinarians all across the country, to garner support for its passage in Congress. The bill ensures that veterinarians are able to continue providing proper care to their patients, unencumbered by the federal government. veterinary pharmaceutical companies
The caucus s highest priority going forward is to deal with the prohibitive amount of student loan debt many veterinary students face upon graduation and to make sure that the cost of school is not prohibitive to those looking to pursue a career in veterinary science, Schrader said.

Mrs Samantha Bloomfield MRCVS, ketamine india a vet working with the Goddard Veterinary Group, is continuing her mother’s work with the launch of a fully updated and revised version of a book called ketamine india ‘The Puppy and Kitten Clinic Nursing and Hand Rearing New born Puppies, published by Mrs Betty Bloomfield in 1994.
Samantha Bloomfield’s book, called ‘Bloomfield’s Manual of Puppy Hand Rearing: The Complete Practical Guide offers a practical guide to hand-rearing puppies and provides guidance for caring for those born prematurely or unwell. It includes advice on the assessment and monitoring of newborn puppies; recommends feeding techniques, including orogastric tube feeding; suggests regimens for sick and immature puppies and provides information on conditions such as neonatal sepsis, hypoglycemia, hypothermia and fading puppy and swimmer puppy syndromes.
Betty Bloomfield drew upon her experiences as a special ketamine india care baby nurse to hand-rear her first puppy in 1974 and, as demand for her services from veterinary staff and breeders grew, she set up The Puppy and Kitten Clinic in 1990, a unique referral service for ill and premature puppies and kittens. She ran the clinic from her home in Hertfordshire with help from her daughter Samantha until she left to study veterinary medicine in 1997.
Samantha, who now works in small animal practice at the Harrow Weald branch of the Goddard Veterinary Group, has maintained a strong interest in hand-rearing puppies, takes referral cases and has lectured to breeders and to the veterinary profession.
She comments: “Hand-rearing puppies is still an area about which very little information is available either for veterinary staff or for breeders. ketamine india It’s also a complex and challenging task which can take an emotional toll. Bloomfield’s Guide was – and still is – ketamine india viewed as the definitive guide and I retain a passion for the subject having been involved in it since my teenage years. As equipment and knowledge has advanced, I felt rewriting my mother’s book to bring it up to date was the best way to continue her work and legacy.
I hope my version will provide an essential practical hand-rearing manual and will give both veterinary ketamine india staff and breeders ketamine india the confidence to give it a try if required. I’m very grateful to the Goddard Veterinary Group for supporting my work in this area.”
BLOOMFIELD’S MANUAL OF PUPPY HAND-REARING: The Complete Practical Guide is published by Bloomfield Scully Publishing paperback; 70 pages at 24.95. ISBN: 978-0-9926692-0-1. It will be available from Amazon in October 2013 and pre-orders are now being taken at www.puppyandkittenclinic.com
The Goddard Veterinary Group in Harrow Weald is based at 334 High Road and can be contacted on 0208 427 1611. An in-house Nursing College to help student nurses achieve the Diploma in Veterinary Nursing has been set up by Goddard Veterinary Group The first students commenced their training in January 2014 with a view to achieving the qualification within three years. They are undertaking academic training in classroom facilities at the Wanstead Veterinary Hospital and experiencing practical training in the Hospital itself.
Central robert jeffers Qualifications (CQ) is working with Goddard robert jeffers Veterinary Group as the Awarding Body for the Diploma. In order to achieve it a student must achieve a pass on all CQ assignments. Successful students will be able to register as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS and will be able to use the post nominal RVN.
Commenting on the establishment of the Nursing College, Helen Farrant Cert Ed RVN, Training Manager for the Goddard Veterinary Group said: “The new Diploma offers a fantastic opportunity robert jeffers for student veterinary nurses robert jeffers to achieve a highly regarded qualification in a work-based learning environment.
“As we have branches and hospitals right across London, until now, our students have had to attend a range of colleges across the city and beyond. With the facilities we have available in-house, we felt there was an opportunity to develop a course which is specifically tailored for them and which meets the standards that we, as a Group, expect of all of our veterinary nurses. It also gives them the benefit of working together and getting to know each other.
“Some staff who join us as Ward Assistants already go on to study as Veterinary Care Assistants internally. Now, they will have the opportunity to work their way right up to achieve a recognised veterinary nursing qualification – all provided in-house. Our first students are already getting started and it’s robert jeffers great to see their enthusiasm and commitment to their studies.”
Jacqui Garrett, director of Central Qualifications said: We are delighted to welcome the Goddard Veterinary Group as a new CQ centre for veterinary nurse training. We wish them every success with their well -designed training programmes.
