Irving Place Capital ( IPC ), a leading middle-market private equity firm, announced today an agreem

Irving Place Capital has agreed to acquire a majority stake in pet products retailer Pet Supplies Plus . No pricing terms were disclosed, although LBO Wire previously reported that the deal would include around $80 million in equity (including $18m from management). Through his associations with some of the world’s largest pet supply chain stores, Schwartz has photographed more pets than any other pet photographer in the country—more than 60,000. “I consider myself one of the luckiest guys in the world,” he says. “I’ve worked with animals for my entire career, and there is no greater joy imaginable. There’s never been a pet I couldn’t photograph, and I’ve loved every minute of it.”
Schwartz and his staff were the exclusive photography studio for the entire Tri-State region of 75 stores of the country’s second-largest pet supply chain since 2006. Macomb County Animal Control and Pet Supplies Plus in Clinton Township have joined to help bring in some donations for the animal shelter. East precinct officers responded to a robbery just before 8 p.m. on Dec. 11 at the Pet Supplies Plus store on Gadsden Highway. Two people had robbed the store at gunpoint, and officers from the department's Crime Reduction Team found them and took them into custody nearby without incident.
Brandon Roanoke, 20, of Irondale, and Jason Poole, 28, of Birmingham, are charged in the pet store holdup. Both men have been charged with seven counts each of robbery. Bond for both men is set at $420,000 apiece.
In another robbery just before 10 p.m. also Dec. 11, officers from the west precinct jeffers coupon code were called to a robbery in progress at the Family Dollar in the 1700 block of Jefferson Avenue. Police later found two people who were identified as suspects.
