My friends cat has who did not come home last night has returned with what looks like a broken leg. She has phoned the pdsa as she is registered and they were quite rude saying they only take private cases unless life or death? They booked her cat in for 9.45am tomorrow, she is so worried how her cat will be overnight as she is very subdude. Has anyone got any advice i could give her? Many thanks x

She's a single mum with 3 children, my husband offered to take the cat to the pdsa for her but as they are not very interested thats not an option. She would not be able to afford the vet fee's Her cat is well loved but as things have changed for her a lot in the last year she has very limited money

OH right i presumed with them saying they dont take private cases unless life or death! That she wasnt entitled to pdsa help! I think she should ring back and ask what they class as life and death??? As said already it could have internal injuries that cant be seen!!
That is a really sad situation. I remember from when I had to take one of my rats to the PDSA when I was a student to be PTS as it was really ill with tumours, they weren't very flexible about when you could see them due to being a charity. I suppose the only other option is for her to try and borrow the money off someone and see an emergency vet. Its a shame when peoples circumstances change through little morton hall no fault of their own Hope her cat manages to get the treatment soon.
